In Kyoto City, we are working towards creating an accessible website which will
allow anyone, regardless of disability or age, make use of the information presented
on the internet.
When designing the 'heartful mark', a heart was chosen to represent kindness,
and the letter 'A' to signify accessibility.
Pages where this mark is displayed have been constructed with accessibility in
mind, including compatibility with speech output software and careful attention
to character display and color choices.
Every effort is being made to ensure that in the future, as many 'heartful marks'
as possible will appear on the Kyoto Information Center section of the city's
website. |
